As a non-profit association, ARNA supports the process within the municipalities of Lund, Eslöv and Sjöbo to form a new Unesco biosphere reserve in Vombsjösänkan in the south of Sweden. A Unesco biosphere is an area with high cultural-historical and biological landscape values. The aim is to function as model areas for sustainable development.
ARNA's vision is that Vombsjösänkan's biosphere will be the world's first to profile itself through the cultural dimension of sustainability. Our goal is for ARNA to function as a field station for the cultural dimension, where we in projects and activities seek new ways of working and collaborations in support of innovation work within sustainable development.
